Clearview Field Hockey 2005

The Clearview Regional High School field hockey team had to work hard to qualify for the state playoffs this season, but when they got there, they made their mark. A dominating 5-0 win over Central Regional earned them a quarterfinals date with top-seeded Ocean City. The Pioneers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead before eventually falling, but they could take solace in knowing they scored the only goal Ocean City allowed on their way to yet another South Jersey championship (followed by yet another New Jersey state championship). And the post-game pizza at Mack & Mango's was as good as ever.

It's never easy coming up with a mosaic design for a team that wears green and plays on grass fields. C-T-S's petitions to the Clearview school board to change the field hockey jerseys to blue or orange or indigo or anything but green have so far fallen on deaf ears. Ah well, here's a 900-tile mosaic...green, shockingly enough...comprising photos from both varsity and J.V. games throughout the 2005 season.

Music Video

There's more you can do with your digital photographs than just print them. Here's an MPG music video made up from snapshots taken throughout the 2005 season. The MTV-style quick-cuts and transitions are perfect for sports videos; slideshows would use gentler "Ken Burns" effect pans and zooms (and a gentler musical selection, too.)
