Clearview Swimming 2005-2006

For the first time ever, Clearview Regional High School did not field a swim team in 2005-2006. Instead, they fielded two. The formerly coed team split into separate boys and girls squads. The boys started slowly but swam very competitively by the end of the year, with several swimmers named to the Gloucester County Times' all-star team. And the girls? In their very first season, they tied with perennial powers Woodstown and Gloucester Catholic for the Tri-County Conference championship, and even qualified for the state playoffs. (And in 2007 they did even better, winning the conference title and going undefeated in the regular season. They earned Clearview its first-ever victory in the state swimming playoffs, advancing to the regional semifinals before falling to eventual state champs Haddonfield.)

This team photo was taken just before the final regular-season meet vs Highland. We grayed out the background and added a View swimming logo in the corner. All of the coaches and most of the kids are here (our sincerest apologies to the ones who aren't!)

Girls Team Picture

The girls' team picture has a special hybrid design. The foreground photo has a nice watercolor filter, giving a hand-painted effect when viewed at a distance. The background mosaic, comprising about 500 unique tiles, has a rainbow-wave flow...from yellow to aqua to pink to orange.

Boys Team Picture

Here's the View boys' team, in their best tough-guy poses. (They busted out laughing as soon as the photo was snapped, and as you see a few of them couldn't keep a straight face even for that long.) The GCIT backdrop has been faded to a greenish-gray, with a curved gold VIEW providing color contrast. By the way, if you'd prefer a hybrid photo foreground with a mosaic background, like the girls' team picture, just ask.

Logo Mosaic

The 2005-2006 Logo Mosaic is made up of over 600 visible tiles (no duplicates, as always!) taken at various dual meets and championiships this season. As with the girls' team picture, the tiles create a rainbow-wave effect when viewed at a distance; while up close, you can see the detail of each photo.
